Many nations now maintain confidential helplines that offer advice and counselling for people who want to stop smoking.
In the USA, the National Cancer Institute has expert smoking cessation counsellors available to answer smoking-related questions in English or Spanish.

Smokefree is a UK stop smoking helpline run by the NHS.

In Canada you can speak to the Canadian Cancer Society quit coaches.

Nicotine Anonymous (NicA) is a well-known, not-for-profit, organisation that adapted the 12 Step program originally proposed by Alcoholics Anonymous for use in beating nicotine addiction.
